The game utilizes a standard 52-card deck, where players begin by bidding the number of tricks they believe they can win. The objective is to achieve the exact number of tricks bid.
When playing with partners, the teams are divided into North/South and West/East. This dynamic adds an extra layer of collaboration and competition, as teammates' bids and tricks are combined. Consequently, if one player underbids, their teammate's overbid can offset the discrepancy.
